Onesha Community Health Foundation was officially registered on 7 August 2026 as a non-governmental organisation, registration number NGO/R/10044.

The Foundation's area of operation is the United Republic of Tanzania (Mainland), with a primary focus on Dodoma Region, where its head office is based.

Our vision and mission

To build healthy, empowered, and resilient communities.

Our mission is to champion improved quality of life through accessible healthcare, vision restoration, education support and community empowerment initiatives.

Starting with sight

Our first programme, the Community Vision Restoration & Eye Health Programme, focuses on the leading causes of avoidable vision loss: cataract and uncorrected refractive error. It links community eye-health education and screening with clinical assessment, referral, treatment, cataract surgery, spectacles and follow-up, delivered with our strategic clinical partner, Optiview Specialised Eye Clinic in Dodoma.

We look forward to working with communities, government, clinicians and partners. If you would like to be part of this work, please get in touch.
